Delicate veins across skin of wet silk
Scenting nostrils flexing a dream
Confirming confidence established in milk
Soft low tones and gentle caressing
Mutual feeling of loving respect
Spirit awakened in a willingness blessing
Both in the knowing forever timeless
Stirrups drawing leather straps
Leather easing in the strain of mounting
Tensing, stretching, balancing, relaxing,
Each adjust as two spirits merge
Loosening, walking, muscles are softened
Mouthing the curb until trust is restored.
Fitness allowing flexion returns
The picture of elegant grace adored
Two as one, routine now instinctive
Performance of being in fulfilment of role
Long hours learned soon is completed
